Kung Hei Fat Choi! Happy New Year! Last week we enjoyed learning all about\u00a0China\u00a0in our afternoon sessions. This was linked to the\u00a0Chinese New Year celebrations.<\/p>\n

Each class took part in a range of learning, linked to\u00a0China. Throughout the school, children were preparing and tasting Chinese foods. Year 5 and 6\u00a0created some very tasty vegetable spring rolls that they enjoyed tasting!<\/p>\n

There was lots of Geography taking place, learning about where\u00a0China\u00a0is located. Year 3 and 4\u00a0learnt how to write Chinese symbols and presented their work beautifully, as well as learning about the giving of red envelopes with money as a New Year gift.<\/p>\n

As 2018 is the ‘Year of the Dog’, Year 1 and 2 designed and created their own dog masks. Reception\u00a0enjoyed making noodles and writing instructions for how to do this. They then loved tasting their creations at the end!<\/p>\n

Many thanks to all of the staff for planning such exciting activities for the children and to all of the parents and carers for coming into our celebration of work at the end of the day.<\/p>\n
