With Bonfire and Remembrance being a big part of our village community, visiting the bonfire is an important learning opportunity. Before visiting we read the story \u2018Where the poppies now grow\u2019, to help the children think about the reasons behind our village bonfire event and its foundations in remembrance.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday afternoon the children in Reception visited the local bonfire site. There was great excitement when they realised the bonfire was in the shape of a phoenix and that there was lots of muddy puddles for splashing in.\u00a0 They spent time looking at the\u00a0 different parts and talked about how long it would take to build. The children also had fun posing like birds.
