At Pioneer, we feel it is important to prepare pupils for life in a 21st Century world, and it is clear that religion and belief play a central role in local and global affairs. Religious education provides an ideal opportunity to explore matters of religions and non-religious beliefs, to find out what matters most to people in a wide range of traditions, and to discern what is of value for themselves as they develop their own ideas and ways of living.<\/p>\n

Parents have the right to withdraw their child from RE and daily worship. Please speak to the headteacher if you are considering this.<\/p>\n

As of September 2022, we will be following the East Sussex RE Syllabus (2022-27). The syllabus offers teachers the opportunity to plan and to deliver lessons which are informative, engaging and challenging and which will allow pupils to gain a developing understanding of the range of religious and non-religious world views studied, over a period of time.
