This week, the children had a special visit from the South East Rivers Trust.<\/p>

Through an interactive assembly, the children learnt how small changes to our daily routines can make a huge positive impact to the river. The class then completed some workshops around what they had learnt.<\/p>

First, they had to slow down an unrestored river channel by adding river restoration techniques. Next, they had to find invertebrates in a sample of river water and correctly identify them. The winning group found a total of 31! Lastly, the children found out how they could become River Rangers by completing a few tasks to support their local river.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
