Today the class all had a stick and collected the fallen leaves on it to create a multi coloured \u2018leaf kebab\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe wind is making the leaves fall down\u201d<\/p>\n

They also spotted lots of emerging fungi on the ground and talked about how they all looked so different, and never to pick or eat any.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it looks like a magic Kingdom\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat mushroom on the tree looks like a seat for a squirrel\u201d<\/p>\n

The Impact of Forest School for the children is the knowledge the children have gained from the Forest School experience.<\/p>\n

The impact can be seen through the skills, tools used, art and craft activities, observations and knowledge of the fruit, plants trees in relation to the seasons and the skills involved in learning how to play Forest School games.<\/p>\n

The children joined in with telling the story of the Billy Goats Gruff as they crossed the bridge over the tunnel on the old railway line.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho is that trip trapping over my bridge?\u201d<\/p>\n

Some children collected some crab apples along the way and they had a go at tasting them, once they had given them a wash.<\/p>\n

The children took turns with balancing along the slack line and ropes.<\/p>\n

They spent a long time at the stream climbing up and down and sorting out how to make the bridge more stable.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bridge has gone all wobbly\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did teamwork, dream work to fix it\u201d<\/p>\n

We played a game of 1,2,3 change tree, where everyone had to spot a new tree to run to in the woods and get there before the countdown ended!<\/p>\n

There was time for some to create some leaf and flower collages with the collected and previously collected leaves.<\/p>\n

A massive thanks to our volunteers who supported the children with all of their exploring and learning. We can\u2019t wait until next time!<\/p>\n
