The class had the opportunity to come face to face with some of the animals of the forest, asking questions about the local wildlife and learning more about why these animals are unique.<br \/>\nCherry Class also learnt about a really special bird, the Night Jar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>it is a rare bird,<\/li>\n<li>that is nocturnal and<\/li>\n<li>makes its\u2019 nest on the ground.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>William volunteered to dress up as a Night Jar to help the others see the unique characteristics of this special bird.<\/p>\n<p>To conclude, the class had a go at creating their own night jars using oil pastels.<\/p>\n<p>We are really grateful to The Ashdown Forest Centre for providing this visit completely free of charge.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tiled-gallery type-rectangular tiled-gallery-unresized\" data-original-width=\"1200\" data-carousel-extra='null' itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/ImageGallery\" > <div class=\"gallery-row\" style=\"width: 1200px;
