This demonstrates that our school is embedding and improving provision against the four core health themes of Healthy Schools. This status is valid for three years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-42104-1-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-42104-1-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>In practical terms, it has led to a range of initiatives and improvements across the school:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Healthy snack push<\/li>\n<li>No rewards related to food<\/li>\n<li>New mobile kitchen unit to improve hands on teaching of food technology<\/li>\n<li>Dedicated area of the school to promote and raise the profile of healthy eating<\/li>\n<li>Chartwells workshops on a balanced diet with all children making and trying \u2018rainbow wraps\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-42104-1-2\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-42104-1-2-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"3\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Further plans are in place to complete:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workshops for parents and carers on healthy packed lunch options (working with FunkyFoods ambassador)<\/li>\n<li>Willow class social justice project in Spring 2 setting up the Community Orchard and exploring the process of field to fork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-42104-2\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-42104-2-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-42104-2-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"4\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pioneerfederation.co.uk\/stmarys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Healthy-Schools-certificate.pdf\" class=\"pdfemb-viewer\" style=\"\" data-width=\"max\" data-height=\"max\" data-toolbar=\"top\" data-toolbar-fixed=\"off\">Healthy Schools certificate<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to have achieved self-validated Healthy Schools Status this term using the School Health Check tool, indicating that St Mary\u2019s has self-evaluated whole school health.
