This week Squirrels had a great time at Forest School exploring the Forest School area on the field. We began the session exploring, to see what we could create. Some of the children choose to dig streams and ‘ponds’ adding water to see the effects of this. Others chose to create bug hotels, looking under rocks and stones to find bugs to visit their hotels.
We then also tried planting some seeds in our growing area, thanks to Owls class for de-weeding this for us, hopefully we will have some yummy peas to enjoy later on in the year.
Some of us planted some tomatoes into smaller pots which we will add to our growing area once they hopefully grow.
The children were really sensible during our Forest School sessions, using their creativity and curiosity to see what they could find and explore. We look forward to our next Forest School session.
