Hawaiian Fun Run

Our last sponsored fun run of the year had a summer Hawaiian theme. The bright colours were lovely and the children embraced their challenge. Well done Park Mead!

Sports Day

Thank you to everyone who supported our Park Mead Sports Day 2025!

It was a fabulous, fun filled morning with lots of sunshine and smiles.

A big shout out and ‘thank you’ to Mr Elphick and the Active Education team for organising such a successful event.

Bedes Multi Sports Event

Bedes Multi Sports Event

Last week Oaks visited Bedes Senior School for their Multi Sports Event.

The children took part in a variety of sports including tennis, football and swimming.

They really enjoyed the activities and represented Park Mead in such a brilliant way.

We are very proud of them and look forward to attending more events in the future.

Bedes Girls Football Tournament

Mr Cruickshank – “The girls were absolutely brilliant throughout the tournament, not only showing team spirit and determination but always motivating each other to keep going and thriving for success. The girls did the whole school proud by getting to the semi-finals against multiple other schools. Not only did they show great sportsmanship on the pitch, but they also showed brilliant behaviour and really represented the school well. Well done girls!”

A year 6 girl said “I enjoyed the tournament a lot, my favourite part was working as a team and also making some brilliant saves as a goalkeeper.

A year 4 girl said she loved the tournament, despite being a year younger and stepping up to help the team. “I really enjoyed scoring a goal to help the team win against another school”.

A year 5 girl said, “I loved playing in defence at the tournament, my favourite part was winning and feeling success”.

Hickstead Mini Major

Gracie was recently invited to compete in the Mini Major at Hickstead. Gracie and her partner sped round to a credible 5th place with only 1.4 seconds splitting the top 6 placings! The competition was the first of its kind at Hickstead so it was an honour for her to be invited.

The event had a pop idol fancy dress theme. They had to choose a song and then match their fancy dress. Gracie choose ‘Grease lightning’ which was the name of Mrs Churcher’s British and European gold medallist pony.

Gracie’s next competition was the NSEA schools jumping competition, again back at Hickstead, where she was very proud to be representing Park Mead. She jumped individually in the all-weather arena, which gave her the chance to qualify to jump in the prestigious International arena later in the day.
