The school were very honoured to be invited to open this year’s Village fete on Saturday 12th September. As the village is in the midst of celebrating 100 years since the first publication of Winnie the Pooh, we were asked to create a Winnie the Pooh themed Procession. To support us with this, The PTFA very kindly paid for an artist to come into school and help the children to create sculptures. Each child created their own sculpture or helped to make the larger characters. The children used bamboo and paper to create familiar characters from the stories. The procession was spectacular with the creations the children had created. Thank you to all children, families and staff who came along to take part.
