Oaks had a fantastic trip to London last week, travelling by train from Uckfield to London Bridge before taking the Uber Boat along the Thames to Embankment. Along the way, the children enjoyed spotting many of London’s most famous landmarks, taking in the sights of the capital from a unique perspective.
We then walked through Trafalgar Square to the National Portrait Gallery, where the focus was on significant black British figures. The children engaged thoughtfully with the portraits and produced some lovely observational sketches.
It was a brilliant day, and the children represented the school wonderfully throughout.
