On Tuesday 7th July, Pupils From our school popped down to Pooh Bridge, whilst they were there we were fortunate enough to meet The Queen Consort. The Queen was visiting Ashdown Forest as part of the 100 year celebrations of the first publication of Winnie the Pooh. First the children watched The Queen play Pooh sticks against Julia Donalsdon and Axel Scheffeler. Very excitingly, the children were then invited to join in a game with The Queen themselves. We think the Queen will never forget the day she beat The children of St Mary’s at Pooh Sticks!
